The last few years have seen growing interest among party goers in what has come to be known as “old school” music of the 80’s. Younger audiences have been attracted to it by virtue of hearing original sounds sampled by rap and hip-hop acts of today. For the over-30 crowd, the appeal is obvious: it’s a way of re-living situations and events from the past, delving back into the memory banks to recall those we’ve loved, and those we’ve lost. Of course, for both young and old it could simple be that there’s so little “real” music around these days so going back over the last thirty years is the only way to hear musicianship, distinctive vocalist, and complete songs.
